HAWKEN HIGH SCHOOL— Senior

August 2017 — Present

  • Peer Leader: 2020-2021 - Chosen as one of 18 seniors who regularly meet with freshmen throughout the year to help 9th Grade students on their academic and social transition to the Upper School.

  • Red Key: 2017-2019  - Admission program introducing new students and families to Hawken High School through open houses and individual tours

  • 2017-2018 Hawken Players Society

  • Language: 4 years of French

  • Jazz Band: 2 years guitar  

ACTIVITIES

SCHOOL OF ROCK:

March 2016 — Present

  • Keyboard and Guitar

  • Performance education program 

  • B - team: 

    • Auditioned for the Cleveland School of Rock House Band (The Headliners) September 6th, 2018

    • Accepted into the B-Team (Lower, Non-touring group) September 7th, 2018 as a keys player

    • B - team teaches students how to grow as musicians, leaders, and band members 

    • This group played out on occasion with the House Band, learning how to set up a stage and engage with an audience as well as making connections with the House Band members

  • House Band: 

    • Auditioned for the Cleveland School of Rock House Band (The Headliners) August 22nd, 2019 

    • Accepted into the House Band (Touring Group, Full Band) August 23rd, 2019

    • The House Band is based on excelling as musicians, learning how to create an engaging performance, setting up a stage and managing sound, and being a leader to other students of the community 

    • In 2020, the program moved offline in tandem with the Stay at Home order

    • This allowed for asynchronous music projects where videos would be created

    • This gave the opportunity to become familiar with Premiere Pro and video production along with working collaboratively with students from home

  • AllStars: 

    • AllStars is the top-level a student of School of Rock can reach inside of the program, allowing a select number of students to tour around the country 

    • The groups played over 40 gigs in the 2019 season, including Lolapalooza

    • Less than 1% of School of Rock students perform as an AllStar 

    • Applied and submitted video audition on February 1st, 2020

    • Accepted to live audition round February 28th, 2020, which was planned for March 28th and eventually canceled, changing to a system based on the previous video auditions  

    • Accepted into the AllStars Program on May 1st, 2020
